liB

So I'm at the library right now commenting my ECE033 program. After this, I have the luxury to start my CSE109 program due tomorrow. Rapture.

This week has been extremely busy -- I didn't go to my classes today because I wasn't feeling too great last night. I've had a lot on my plate lately. Exams didn't go well the first time around, and I really need to get my ass in gear for the upcoming exams. I can't fuck around this semester -- 20 credits or bust. We'll see how it'll play out. In addition, I'm trying to join the ire@l minor program, but I have no idea if that'll fit into my time here at Lehigh. Uberfrustrating.

On an unrelated note, Fashion Week. McQueen, Rodarte, Atelier Versace, Victor & Rolf, & Armani were some of my favorites. I've recently been obsessed with Atelier Versace -- their stuff is crazy at times but totally elegant. Ridiculous.

Until next time.

Teen

This blog is so lackluster. I don't care.

I recieved my phone in the mail a few days ago, and I LOVE it.

I look like the devil, but I don't care -- this phone is fucking stellar.

In other news, life's been pretty lax. I'm currently at Lehigh after my class, which lasted for 10 minutes today. Whatever, it was my last class, so I was totally fine with saying a fast goodbye to Linear Methods. What's up, A in a class?! Well, fuck, I actually did well.

Now, because this class ended early, I am now officially going to Conclave! Sofuckingexcited.

I leave you with another shitty vlog.

(OH WOW, NICE SCREENSHOT. SORRY FOR MUMBLING.)

The phone:

I dunno if I want it in white or black. Thoughts?

leHIGH.

This past weekend, I was at Lehigh.
I wish I remembered most of the weekend, but unfortunately, I vomited that away. I know, classy and sassy at the same time.

Regardless, this past weekend has decidely made me extremely excited for August 19th to arrive. Less than a month before I start my second year and more importantly, less than a month until I get to live in the house. VASSUP?!

This entry is so boring -- where's my humor and awkward wittiness?
Must have thrown that up...along with my dignity. Then again, who needs dignity when you've got Patron? I'm just saying.

Saks Off 5th.

So yesterday, I was at the mall with my parents (shameless), where I was going through shopper's withdrawal -- so many things I wanted, but I knew better (BUT IT WAS SO HARD TO RESIST). However, we ended up going by Saks Off 5th (discounted, holler). I was looking at the store's merchandise in disgust, because as discounted as it was, the products were still really expensive.

However, everything changed when I walked into the shoe area. Oh lord.
I fell in love with two pairs of shoes.

The first pair?

Lacoste L33 Slip Suns in Charbon & White. Made out of canvas.
Retail value: $80.00
I paid: $21.99

FINALLY, I HAVE GRAY SHOES. However, I am worried about being too matching. Eh, whatever. NO REGRETS.

The second pair?

Puma First Round S in New Navy & Little Boy Blue.
Retail value: $80.00
I paid: $38.49

OK, so the front view makes them look like clown shoes, but I've wanted a pair of Nike HighTops. These are the closer I can get to them with my budget, and I'm totally down with that.

Intuition

So I'm back home until Thursday, studying for my upcoming finals.  I have three -- Friday, Sunday, & Monday. I'm really nervous for two of them, but I'm finding that I don't want to study for them; I guess Freshmanitis has kicked in (all too soon, no less).

With that said, I'm almost done freshman year.  That's really intimidating.  This year went by quickly, and if this is, supposedly, the slowest year of your college career, then the next three years will fly by.  I don't want it to fly by -- I want to revel in everything that will happen, the good and the bad.  It's scary that I'll be in the real world after college.  I want to grow up, just not so soon.

WH AT? !

Oh dear, it's 5:36 AM and I've honestly gotten nothing done tonight.

Greek Week is here. I have so much to do in so little time. I'm getting the chills just thinking about the shit that needs to be done... alcohol needs to be imbibed ASAP.

I leave Lehigh (and my freshman year) on May 4th or May 5th...that's less than a month left of school. They say freshman year goes by the slowest. If that's the case, then I'll be graduating before I know it.

Gosh, I'm getting the chills from all of this... and from the fan that's oscillating in my room. Regardless, I'm almost nearing the end. Wow.

I am extremely burnt out of college. This is the last week before a much-needed Spring Break.

I hope I can make it through.

Independent Male of 18.

So tomorrow, Zak & I start broadcasting the radio show he & I are doing together --Bounce.

HOWEVER, he went home with mono, and so now I'm stuck with doing the entire 2 hour segment by myself. Holy titties, I'm nervous. I barely remember the controls, and I know I'll fuck something up. The thing is, having nothing playing or no one saying anything (dead air) is the worst thing to have. Pressure on my head.

So now, I'm working on the playlist (shit shit motherfuck diarrhea doughnut vag), and it's coming along verrrrryyyyy slowly. I have to get ready for a party for tonight and now this is on top of it. I know, I'm bitching over easily-manged things, but the fact that I'm entering the college radio scene myself is a bit unnerving.

Here's the playlist thus far:
1) Seventeen Years - Ratatat
2) Fell in Love with a Girl - The White Stripes
3) Hit the Wall - Broken Social Scene presents Brendan Canning
4) An Eluardian Instance - of Montreal

Petty, Easily, Totally Asinine

PETA is crazy. See here:

PETA: Spearfish school should be called Sea Kitten

SPEARFISH, S.D. – The activist animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has asked school officials to change the name of Spearfish High School to "Sea Kitten High School." The new name would "reflect the gentle nature of its current marine namesake," the organization said in a letter to Steve Morford, Spearfish High School principal.

PETA said the letter is part of a new Sea Kitten campaign aimed at children.

If children were taught to refer to fish as "sea kittens," reflecting that fish, like cats and dogs, are "individuals" that "do have friendships," fewer fish might be killed for food or sport, said Pulin Modi, a PETA spokesman.

"We want people to realize that more fish are killed each year than all animals combined," he said. "They don't have the sympathy of more popular animals like cats and dogs."

Morford said he did not want to share his feelings about PETA. "Obviously, it's nothing we're taking seriously," he said.

I'm sorry, but I can't actually believe how ridiculous PETA is acting with this request. This is so pointless, and come on, sea kittens? Well, if they can invent pointless things like that, then I can make up a bullshit claim saying that I am actually Christina Aguilera & Bono...at the same time. Suck on that, PETA.

Stroll

You know the saying
To walk a mile in someone’s shoes?
Well I did that
And strolled around in a stranger’s pair of Nikes
Worn out soles and tattered laces
These shoes have walked more than a mile
Drowned in dirt and who knows what

Who knows why
This rubber and fabric combination seems to
Stick together for so long?
Bits and pieces are flapping around in the free air
Yet they stay together
To get us from A to B

It’s too bad
That we get too bored of what’s on our feet
And dispose of shoes before their time
Gnarled fabric and dirty laces
Hide the versatility
Of walking a mile in a random pair of shoes.
